First Christian Church of Columbus, IN is searching for a Children’s Minister to partner with families in “Growing Followers of Jesus Who Are Growing Followers of Jesus”. This should be accomplished by providing comprehensive vision, direction, development, and management for all aspects of ministry to children (infants – 6th grade) through safe, engaging Jesus-centered community. This candidate should first and foremost be a follower of Jesus who adheres to the Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God. In their own life, they should embody the characteristics of intentional discipleship that we want to see characterize the culture of First Christian.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from an Accredited College/University
- Bible and/or Seminary/ministry training/experience preferred
- Desirable skills include: Leadership, Vision, Organization, Communication
- Passion and calling to lead/develop/equip/recruit/encourage kids, families, and volunteer leaders to be disciple makers.
General Qualities:
- Professed belief in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.
- Have regular spiritual growth patterns (Bible study, prayer life, fellowship with others, regular worship practices, biblical financial habits).
- The ability to be self-motivated, to prioritize and manage the workload, analyze problems, and create solutions. This includes time management, detail-oriented, problem-solving abilities, decision making skills and flexibility.
- The ability to serve as a collaborative team member of the staff by being a consistently positive presence in the office, contributing to church-wide efforts, delegating, communicating clearly, and playing a significant role in staff culture health
Salary Range: $45K-$50K
