Taylorville Christian Church in Taylorville, IL is searching for a full-time Student Minister to develop a comprehensive ministry to Junior High and High School students leading them to love God and love others.
The Student Minister will fulfill this purpose with the following strategy:
- Develop program for students which includes the following:
- Age appropriate, engaging biblical teaching.
- Opportunities for making connections with adult staff and
volunteers. - Outreach events which will allow TCC students to invite
friends.
- Plan and lead youth trips to camp retreats, summer conventions, mission trips, and other events which would lead students to love God and love others.
- Identify, recruit, and train volunteers for effective student
ministry. - Lead Student Ministry Team.
- Develop relationships with VisionWay Christian School Junior High students through frequent interaction with students and staff.
- Other ministry duties:
- Oversee the volunteer background checks for the Student Ministry.
- Participate in pastoral care duties along with other ministers, including hospital visits, home visits, and telephone calls to members in particular need.
- Participate as a team member with the ministerial staff in big events in the life of the church.
