About Us

At Taylorville Christian Church, we strive to love God and love others in everything we do. Our approach is based on a key teaching from the ministry of Jesus. "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments (Matthew 22:36-40). TCC is a growing congregation averaging 240 in Sunday worship attendance. Taylorville is a small town in central Illinois, conveniently located within easy driving distance of Springfield (the state capital) and Decatur.
