The ministry resident position is a 12-month program for recent seminary graduates who are interested in pursuing church work and leadership within an urban setting. Residents will gain pastoral and leadership experience in:
• Family and youth ministries
• College ministry
• Worship planning and leading
• Volunteer development and management
• Local missions and service work
• Pastoral care
• Office and administrative work
Residents will do “rotations” through each of our major ministry areas on a quarterly schedule or they specialize in a particular area agreed on ahead of time. Sundays will also reflect a similar rotation feel, with residents spending consecutive weeks in one area of ministry.
This position is 20-27 hours/week (including Sundays) and comes with a monthly stipend of $1,000. Housing is provided. Salary can also be negotiated based on experience and housing need. The dates of the residency are: May/June 2023 – May/June 2024.
