The Foundry Christian Church

About Us

The Foundry is a church replant. Born from groups of people whose sole desire was to bring back to life their local outpost in the Kingdom of God. After years of prayer, work, and planning The Foundry was born in September of 2018. We are diverse in age, socioeconomic status, and race. In an area that is deeply impacted by the military and the political climate, our church is one that is consistently different. The average stay in Burke is less than two years. So we are an ever-changing, ever-evolving, ever-learning church. We hold deeply to the Restoration principle that “Methods are many, principles are few. Methods always change, principles never do.” Burke is situated in the county of Fairfax in Northern Virginia. Most of the families that make up our community, and our church, have at least one member of the family serving in the military, for an office of the federal government, or for a government contractor. This means that we have a high turnover rate. This presents an exciting opportunity to minister well with families in a time of transition. It is also why commissioning is such an important part of the ministry that we do. We believe strongly in preparing people for their next mission field.
