About Us

First Christian Church located in the small, yet diverse, community of Beardstown, IL, right on on the Illinois River. The largest employer is a JBS pork plant that employees approximately 2000 workers, many of whom are of Hispanic and African nationalities. There is a lot of opportunity for building community here. We are known as a church that helps meet needs in our community. Our church, of around 200 members, sponsors a Christian school with enrollment of approximately 150 students. We are a church who loves people and loves God. We love serving others. Our desire is to be more intentional about making active, living disciples and reaching out to all peoples, but especially the younger generations. And we are open to change to better accomplish God's mission.
