Walnut Christian Church in Johnson City, TN is searching for a new part-time youth minister to work with children and students, ages 3-18. We are a church body that laughs, learns, and is very relational, and we are hoping to grow our ministry by adopting a team-oriented approach. The youth minister will:

• Plan, develop, and implement curriculum for a 45-minute Children’s Church service (ages 3-10) that will be held in conjunction with normal church service each Sunday
• Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of a balanced youth ministry to include Jr. and Sr. High students (ages 11-14 and 15-18, respectively) in the areas of group building, worship, discipleship, mission, and outreach
• Recruit and train volunteers to support Children’s Church and Youth Ministry to ensure adequate volunteer support and adult-to-youth ratios
• Keep records of youth participation and recommend a youth ministry budget
• Communicate in a timely manner and as effectively as possible using all available resources (Facebook, email, website, bulletin boards, etc.)
• Ensure that the “Accountability” Policy is observed in all youth ministry settings
• Plan 1 children and 1 youth activity per month
• Plan 1-2 youth trips per year
