First Christian Church of Abingdon is seeking a youth minister to work with youth in grades 6-12. Primary responsibilities of the position include:

• Leading youth group on Wednesday nights
• Teaching Sunday school on Sunday mornings
• Organizing youth events (TCTC trips, mission trips, VBS, etc.)
• Occasional preaching

Candidates should possess a strong commitment to the gospel message, repentance, confession, and baptism by immersion. They should be committed to attending and participating in church activities regularly to foster spiritual growth.

This position will begin as a part-time position, but we hope it will eventually grow into a full-time one.

The historic town of Abingdon, VA is home to the Barter Theatre, the state theater of VA, and the beautiful Virginia Creeper Trail, as well as many other outdoor activities. Our staff likes to enjoy these outdoor activities together! First Christian Church of Abingdon is only an hour commute from the Milligan area.
