First Christian Church of Elizabethton, Tennessee is seeking a highly motivated Youth Director to lead all our youth programs. We want to provide a warm, safe, loving and enriching environment for all youth ages in our church.

The ideal candidate will:
Possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a genuine passion for Christian education and youth development.
Have an understanding of child development principles, curriculum design, and best practices in Christian education.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff, parents, and the broader church community.
*Possess leadership qualities such as problem-solving, adaptability, empathy, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities may include:
1. Leadership and Management:
Provide leadership and implement practices that foster a positive and warm environment for children and parents. We want our youth programs to feel like a second home.
Develop and implement a comprehensive and age-appropriate curriculum and routine that promotes Christian development. Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages open communication. This will include leading regular team meetings.
Attend monthly FCC Board Meetings with a report. Attend monthly Staff Meetings.
2. Curriculum and Program Development:
Ensure curriculum and routine are in alignment with current Christian educational standards and best practices in Christian education.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels (meetings) with parents and guardians, building strong partnerships to support each child. Continuously evaluate and improve the curriculum and routine to meet the evolving needs of the children and reflect the latest educational research.
3. Professional Development:
Stay up-to-date with current trends, research, and advancements in early childhood and teen education and leadership practices.
4. Create a budget: The Youth Director manages the facility’s finances, which includes creating and working within a budget with help from leadership.

Pay: $ 40,000
Expected hours: 40 per week plus Christian servant time
PAY: starting at $40,000 Yearly – This rate is based on experience.
