Southside Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian church located in Elizabethton, TN in Northeast Tennessee. Their model of leadership is “elder-led, staff executed.” The church currently sees around 150-200 in Sunday morning attendance. They offer both in person and live-streamed services. The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the Worship Minister to oversee their worship ministry and perform other ministry duties based on the candidates  background and experience. Worship service music style is Blended.


  • Lead the Sunday morning and Sunday night services.
  • Schedule volunteers for worship a month ahead, adjusting as people are available.
  • Prepare chord charts, recordings, and other elements required to help volunteers prepare for rehearsal.
  • Lead recruiting, training, and building the Worship team.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Minister and production leader on content and delivery of messaging.
  • Lead the worship team and congregation in corporate worship for any given Sunday or special worship service.
  • Spend time investing in relationships with volunteers on the worship team.


  • First and foremost, a leader who imitates Jesus in all they do and prioritizes prayer and scripture reading. 
  • A humble leader who is willing to receive coaching and feedback.
  • Visionary leadership and character that possesses spiritual discernment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to establish rapport with ministry team volunteers and church leadership.
  • Organized and efficient.
  • An excellent communicator both orally and written.
  • Advanced musical skill both vocally and instrumentally.
  • High level of vocal competency
  • Able to play at least one instrument, preferably keys or acoustic guitar.
  • A bachelor’s degree in ministry.
  • Two years of worship leading experience.
  • Preaching experience preferred, though not required.

Salary Range $40,000-45,000
