SouthBrook Christian Church is looking to hire a Worship Leader. This person would work very closely with our Creative Director and Lead Pastor. They would also collaborate with our Production Manager, Video Director, and a community of about 70 volunteers.

SouthBrook is known for being a safe place for people to ask questions of faith and to explore what it means to live like resurrection hope is real. In many people’s stories, SouthBrook is the place they decided to try church for the first time or return after a long stretch away. Below are the characteristics, responsibilities, and qualifications we are looking for in a music leader who would help others worship while exploring what resurrection hope looks like.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• You will lead and manage the Sunday worship musical experience
• Recruit, schedule, and pastor volunteers
• Collaborate with the Sunday Experience Creative Director
• Make the worship experience better week to week as growth and improvement is a part of our culture

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and schedule the roster of volunteers for Sundays
• Build and lead a community of artists
• Lead a weekly evening rehearsal for Sunday’s which will serve as a foundational gathering for the worship arts community
• Creatively direct other Sunday service elements such as video or drama

EXPERIENCE AND CRITERIA

• 5-7 years of experience in worship leadership and production
• Must have experience building a worship arts community
• Must have church or event production experience
• Must have extensive experience with Ableton and / or Dive in Deep
• Must have experience in directing creative experiences beyond music
• Must have experience leading teams
• Available on Sundays and after hours for various event productions

OUR STAFF CULTURE: 

We have monthly staff meetings that are sometimes about getting stuff done and are occasionally about just enjoying each other’s company. Our Creative Arts team makes a point of getting out of the building together for planning. There are a wide variety of options available for staff development. We’ve helped people with furthering their education and spiritual growth. The worship leader would help us build community but also be a part of a strong community.
