Redvale Church is seeking a pastor dedicated to Jesus for Jesus’ own sake. He will be energetic and have no denominational inclinations, seeking to include all who seek God. He will speak straight-forwardly about God and the Christian belief system without hesitation.
This will be a full-time life position; meaning we are seeking a permanent resident in the pulpit that loves this area and its people like we do. While we prefer a full-time pastor, considering the size of our fellowship, we will consider a person who is willing to fulfill the essential functions of the ministry position part-time in addition to having another job or job duties in the community. Critical functions, responsibilities, and service schedule expectations would have to be negotiated.
Our pastor will be interested in fostering a love of Christ in children and will make the church the center of his work, making himself available to all congregants and others that need help in their Christian quest. He will foster relationships with other area churches and keep the congregants well-schooled in the Bible.
Principal Function: The pastor is responsible to the church to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach from the Bible, to engage in pastoral care ministries, to provide administrative leadership in all areas of church life, and to be the church representative in the community.

Daily striving to fulfill the two greatest commandments given to us by Christ as written in Matthew 22: 37, 40: To love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
Accountability To: Church, Church Board
Description: The Minister has primary responsibility for preaching and teaching the Word of God and to provide leadership, shepherding and vision to the Body in partnership with the Board and Congregation.
Qualifications
1. Passionately embodies God’s word and lives out the gospel in his daily life.
2. Shows a deep commitment to Christ and has His heart for all people.
3. As a baptized (immersed) believer, fully understands and supports the scripture-based doctrine of the Restoration Movement.
4. Consistent spiritual moral character and lifestyle.
5. Competent in organization, administration and interpersonal relationships.
6. Potential and desire to remain in a long-term (5 year minimum) ministry at SMBCF.
7. Strong in biblical and expository preaching.
8. Computer proficient, able to administer the church web page, Facebook page and any other online presence in a manner that promotes, engages, and encourages the Congregation and others receiving the message.
9. Ordained or eligible to be ordained in the Church. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of ministry (M Div. preferred).
Responsibilities:
• Strive to recognize potential and opportunity for church members to help serve the fellowship and encourage it.
• Consistently preach Bible-based message that is engaging, relevant and challenges those who hear to seek or deepen their relationship with Jesus.
• Provide a focus on spiritual growth, discipleship and Christian community.
• Coordinate music for weekly services, or should a music director become available, work with the Director of Music in planning worship services to reach the community.
• Work with others to oversee day to day operation of the church and preparation of the sanctuary.
• Counsel, as appropriate, make hospital calls and pastoral visits, as needed.
• Conduct wedding ceremonies and funeral services, as needed.
• Meet with church board as often as needed in addition to the regular annual meetings.
• Be the leader of the entire congregation.
• Proclaim the gospel from the pulpit and in personal evangelism.
• Promote and participate in existing missions and outreach activities the church supports.
• Engage in daily personal Bible study and prayer time.
• Cast a vision for where the church should be going.
• Work with other area churches.
POTENTIAL SALARY RANGE
Current projected salary range for a full time position may range from fifty to sixty thousand dollars per year depending on experience and capabilities. No other benefits are currently offered, other than the joy of serving the Lord. Part time position salary and responsibilities are negotiable.
