Our current pastor is desiring to transition to retirement, so we are seeking a candidate to assume the duties of senior pastor. Our Sunday morning worship service averages about 100 people in a balanced demographic. A successful candidate will be a man with a vibrant relationship with his Creator and Savior who can communicate the Word of God as infallible and powerful Truth.
The church and parsonage are located eight miles north of Cherokee, OK.
Pastoral Duties:
- Preaching, counseling and assisting in coordinating and leading worship
- Introduce and implement programs to further discipleship, witnessing and church growth
- Calling on sick and shut-ins as time permits
- Attend Board and Elder Meetings
- Officiate at weddings and funerals as requested
- Work with boards, committees and volunteers to assist them in carrying out their assigned tasks
- Represent the church with outside organizations, such as Ministerial Alliance
- Represent the church at wider church events
- Calling on congregation members and potential members
