New Hope Christian Church in Bartlett, TN, is seeking a new senior pastor, as the current senior pastor of 17 years will retire in eight months. We are a very loving, and open, mission-minded, church. We are a 126 year old church with several foundational families and multiple generations attending. We have a lot to offer as we work together to love others and serve God’s world.
We are looking for a Senior Minister who can be responsible for the overall spiritual health and spiritual direction of New Hope Christian Church. In accordance with the mission, vision and strategy of the church, he will work with the Elders and Executive / Administrative Minister to accomplish the overall objectives of our church and meeting the needs of the community. Bartlett, TN offers a quaint, smaller town feel next to Memphis TN. We have incredible schools and community resources, with access to a big city and small community at home.
The Senior Minister will preach and teach the Word of God in order to assist God’s people to develop a personal love relationship with Jesus Christ. The Senior Minister shall also seek to develop new leaders by mentoring, teaching, and giving the opportunities to preach as appropriate. The Senior Minister is responsible for planning ahead and keeping staff informed of future events and topics.The Senior Minister will help guide the leaders of this church as they exercise their leadership ministries. The Minister is expected to attend and assist with weekly staff meetings.
Our leadership team enjoys a lot of collaboration and fellowship with each other. Elders and staff support each other, meeting several times a year just for fellowship and Bible study together, in addition to our regular weekly meetings. We value the whole well being of each staff member, encouraging them to go to a conference each year in their respective areas.
