Responsibilities:

The Senior Minister serves as the spiritual leader of LBCC and presides over a Leadership Team elected by the congregation. The Leadership Team is subdivided into five teams: Worship, Discipleship, Administrative, Fellowship, and Outreach.  The Church is supported by a part-time Administrative Assistant. Work hours include sermon preparation, Sunday and Wednesday worship, and weekly office hours.

The Senior Minister will direct all the worship services of the church and officiate and participate in the regularly scheduled weekly services (Sunday morning and Wednesday evening).  Other duties are as follows:

  • Work with church leadership and staff to establish and execute a vision and strategic plan for the church’s growth.
  • Perform baptisms, weddings, and funeral services consistent with the tenets of the Church.
  • Facilitate and encourage spiritual growth and discipleship through the development of Bible studies and other educational programs.
  • Provide pastoral care for members of the congregation, including visiting the sick, counseling those in need and offering support in times of crisis.
  • Engage and build relationships with the local community, participating in outreach and mission activities.
  • Serve as personnel director of paid and volunteer staff.

Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

LifeBridge is looking for someone who has a passion for reaching young people and families and for helping the church grow. Candidates must also have basic computer proficiency, be ordained, and have experience in a ministry role; experience as a senior minister is preferred.

LBCC was founded in 2004 and is located at 617 Donelson Dr, Kingsport, TN.  We aspire to be a bridge where unbelievers can find a way to God and believers are nurtured in the faith.  Prayer is the most powerful weapon in the fight against evil.  LBCC supports many different areas: Sunday school, worship services, Bible studies, book club, outreach to the community, and internal fellowship activities. Our youth attend the Tennessee Christian Teen Convention annually.

To apply, please send a cover letter and a CV or resume to office@lifebridgechristian.net.  Only electronic applications will be considered.   Candidates invited to an interview may be asked to provide recorded sermons. Applications received by February 15 will receive priority consideration.
