MCC is seeking applicants for Lead Minister as the current Lead Minister is relocating after a 10-year ministry with MCC. Our lead minister would oversee the preaching, administration, and outreach of our church. He will serve as part of our leadership team with the Elders to execute our mission statement:
Living As Faithful Followers of Jesus
• Praying Like Jesus
• Loving Like Jesus
• Serving Like Jesus
Qualifications:
1. Christian Church (Restoration Movement) background
2. Baptized (immersed) believer in Jesus Christ; ordained
3. Bible / Theology Bachelor degree
4. 3-5 Years in Christian ministry, preferably as a lead minister
5. Must agree to MCC statement of beliefs
6. Strong faith, characterized by spiritual maturity, discernment, and integrity
7. Healthy work ethic
Responsibilities:
1. The Lead Minister is ultimately responsible for all aspects of corporate worship services, and is expected to work closely with the Worship Minister to offer spirit filled services that edify and equip the congregation
2. Proclaims the Gospel from the pulpit with authority and wisdom
3. Leads the congregation with vision and encouragement to live a faithful Christian life
4. Oversees pastoral care (visitation, counseling, etc.)
5. Represents MCC to the community
6. Oversees daily operations of the church
7. Accountability to the Elders
8. Manages the church’s staff
9. Promotes community involvement and outreach
10. Models the importance and priority of prayer and scripture study
11. Maintains a beneficial work/life balance, working hard for MCC but also making family time a priority, taking vacation as needed/desired, and encouraging other staff to do the same
12. Promotes and involved in small groups
