This position includes leadership of The Table, a missionary community striving to saturate the city of Bristol with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This role is largely apostolic and evangelistic, casting a vision for future generations of disciples and attentive to the Spirit’s opening new avenues to further grow the kingdom. We believe that a single weekly gathering is insufficient to catalyze the life change required for freedom from addiction, so in part this role is continuously evolving to better engage our people in the weekly rhythms of their lives.
Over the last year, we have been able to expand our work to now include a female recovery center in Abingdon. We have connected with a growing core group of women, who are seeking deeper connections. In addition to a male ministry fellow, we are now seeking female applicants to help develop and grow a ministry with this female recovery center in Abingdon.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping to lead our main Sunday night gathering in Bristol
- Discipling/mentoring a men or women’s group who are spiritually receptive
- Facilitating the coordination of service and outreach projects
- Developing leaders, and cultivating an environment conducive to multiplying disciples
- Becoming familiar with and leading a Discovery Bible Study (DBS) group
