Hopwood Christian Church is seeking a part-time (20 hr per week) youth minister. They must be spiritually mature, self-motivated, and capable of planning and carrying out programs and activities. They will be responsible for leading and nurturing the spiritual growth of middle and high school students within the church. This role involves planning, organizing, recruiting volunteers, and executing various youth programs, including Sunday morning Bible studies, Wednesday evening lesson series, and Sunday evening small group meetings. They will also engage with students outside of church programs to foster relationships, provide guidance, and encourage their walk with Christ.
The candidate must be an effective organizer, able to recruit volunteers and delegate authority. They should possess good communication skills with both adults and youth, flexibility, teamwork, and receptive to the needs of the congregation. This position reports to one of the Senior Co-Ministers and, works with the Education Committee, and Board. The position requires 20 hours a week.
Start date is flexible, but no later than January of 2025. Starting salary is between $17,000 – $18,000 per year.
