Weiner Christian Church is seeking a full-time minister who has a passion for serving God and His people. Our ideal candidate would be devoted to sharing the gospel of Christ, exhibit spiritual and personal integrity, be proficient in knowledge of the Bible, have an enthusiasm for evangelism and growth, be comfortable with all ages, be an effective leader, and have the desire and the calling to serve as a pastor to our church members.
Responsibilities and/or requirements would include:
- Presenting sermons and teaching from the Holy Bible
- Providing spiritual leadership and pastoral care
- Visiting the sick or shut-in
- Imparting vision to better help the church carry out the Lord’s work
- Participating in community life
- Sharing our church’s commitment to serving the youth of our community
- Overseeing, working with, and/or developing church programs for all ages
- Meeting regularly and working with the elders, deacons and other church leaders
- Possessing the same doctrinal beliefs of the Independent Christian Churches
- Being an ordained/licensed minister
The minister position for Weiner Christian Church became open in June of 2024. It is the only paid position other than a custodian, with other services provided by volunteers. The facilities are in top condition, as is the parsonage.
Salary will be based on experience and education.
