Academy Christian Church of Colorado Springs, CO is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Evangelism and Outreach Pastor who will be responsible to increase the evangelistic impact of Academy Christian, specifically measured by decisions for Christ, baptisms, expressed everyday missionary accounts, attraction of new visitors to ACC services, and participation in connect groups. This position also oversees and leads all teams related to the ACC guest experience. This position requires the measurable spiritual gift of evangelism.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Called into full-time ministry and passionate about reaching the lost for Christ.
  • Consistent and measurable results that display the spiritual gift of evangelism in all personal and professional settings.
  • Additional spiritual gifts of Exhortation, Leadership, Administration.
  • Consistent display of pastor/shepherd’s heart when interacting with fellow staff, congregation and members of the community.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to develop, manage, and inspire large teams and organize and administrate large complex activities and events.
  • Creative natural abilities to develop and implement programing that attracts visitors to ACC.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of social media, web, online ministries, etc. for outreach purposes.
  • Excellent and gifted communication skills: written, verbal, individually and in front of a group.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with pastors, staff, and ministry leaders.
  • Education and Experience

This position requires a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a staff member in a ministry leadership capacity. Possession of at minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical studies or related fields is required. (Extensive ministry experience, in some cases, can be substituted.) The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic and the ability to administrate as a department head. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, church management software, web configuration/maintenance, and other related applications are preferred. Both men and/or women are welcome to apply.
