Grandview Christian Church is looking for an intern to work alongside our Buffalo Campus Children’s Minister focusing on ministry to families of children from birth- 6th grade (curriculum development, program coordination, volunteer recruitment and empowerment) with an opportunity to explore other areas of ministry interest.
Children’s Area: Primary
- Sunday Mornings- Work alongside the Children’s Minister to facilitate volunteers, coordinate curriculum and materials
- Wednesday Evenings- Work with the whole staff to plan and implement Wednesday evening intergenerational programming called Two4Two. This will run between 8-10 weeks in the fall.
- Work alongside the Children’s Minister to plan large, family friendly, church-wide events.
- Work with our Children’s Minister to plan long term for the various ministries represented in our Children’s department.
- Participate in the pastoral care of volunteers and families.
Secondary (Time permitting)
- Explore another ministry area of interest.
- Support in the recruitment and training of volunteers for that area of ministry.
- Support in long-term planning for that area of ministry.
Mentorship
- Meet weekly with a member of Grandview staff to discuss vocational goals and issues.
Hours and Pay: 14 weeks, 20 hours per week, $10 per hour
