Cedar Grove Christian Church is looking for a part-time Bi-Vocational Minister who is biblically focused. The minister must teach the Bible within the framework of inerrancy, and a hold to a position of traditional biblical marriage. Our congregation demographics consist primarily of elderly Caucasians with a few family’s comprising of minors and preteens.

Compensation is negotiable. This position is open because of disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church and we have re-structured. The pastor role would now report to the Administrative Board. In the past we have provided in our budget for continuing education and funds for the Pastors attendance at annual conferences. We will continue to provide funding for similar activities. The congregation is steady and we offer a healthy spiritual community for a new pastor, even as we are in this time of transition.

The Church is a religious corporation that promotes Christianity by:

  1. Reaching out to non believers to encourage them to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
  2. Teaching the word of God through sermons and Sunday School based on the Holy Bible.
  3. Providing a safe place for children to learn about Jesus Christ and God’s love.
  4. Reaching out to all people in our community to encourage them to join us in a relationship with God.
  5. Providing spiritual guidance to those in distress, food to those that are hungry, and prayer for all.

We are a rural community with about 60 members, mostly with farming connections. We are known for our annual Ice Cream Supper, the Second Harvest Food Distribution, Trunk or Treat, and support of the local Green County food ministry along with support of our local schools angel tree programs.
