Milligan University invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director of the Ministry Leadership Program (MLP) with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. Reporting to the Director of Ministry Outreach, this position provides leadership, support, and strategic direction for the Ministry Leadership Program and all grant-sponsored initiatives supporting undergraduate ministry students at Milligan.
Primary responsibilities for the Assistant Director of the MLP include providing spiritual care to ministry students and faculty at Milligan, co-leading MLP retreats and ministry expeditions throughout the academic year, organizing and leading events in local youth groups to inspire students to pursue vocational ministry, overseeing the internship process for undergraduate ministry students, serving as a liaison between Milligan’s ministry partners and the MLP, assisting with recruitment, and representing Milligan among Stone-Campbell Movement ministers and congregations.
Successful candidates should have a degree in a field of Christian ministry, 5+ years of ministry experience within the Stone-Campbell Movement, and demonstrated strong relational, oral, written, and administrative skills. Successful candidates should also demonstrate a strong Christian faith and commitment to Milligan’s mission as a Christian liberal arts university. Primary duties and responsibilities would be performed in an office setting, with some travel, weekend and evening requirements for the position.
